DAY 1:JOHANNESBURG—WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA
Africa's most populous city, Johannesburg is an exciting launch pad for adventures of all kinds. A thriving art and food scene tell the story of a city embracing its unique identity while honoring its complex history. Welcome to Johannesburg and to South Africa!

DAY 2: PRIDELANDS CONSERVANCY WILDLIFE TRACKING
Our day begins with a flight to Hoedspruit and a private transfer to Raptors Lodge.
What does it take to be a guide in South Africa? How do you learn the way each animal leaves its mark on its surroundings? What is it like being on foot in the African bush at dusk and dawn?
Ecotraining is the leading guide training company in Africa and our African journey starts with an exclusive two day experience learning what it takes to be a guide in these iconic national parks and conservancies. This is not just a safari—this is an opportunity to step into another life for a brief two days.
After lunch, we’ll jump into a 4x4 safari vehicle and keep our eyes open for unforgettable wildlife encounters inside Pridelands Wildlife Estate.
We’ll end our day with a sundowner at the perfect sunset spot before our bush braai dinner.

day 3: Pridelands conservancy nocturnal wildlife
Begin the day at dawn, heading out on foot with your guides in search of elephant, buffalo and zebra. Breakfast is served out in the bush with wildlife free to move about while you dine.
After your morning safari the group will transfer back to the lodge where you will have free time to unwind and relax after the immersive morning activity. Enjoy all of the wonderful amenities that the lodge has to offer before a group lunch on the property.
The late afternoon safari drive will have us experiencing the bush in a whole new light. We’ll stop at the perfect spot to watch the sun dip below the horizon and enjoy light snacks and drinks together. Then after the sun has set, we’ll experience an evening in the African bush with a heavy focus from our guide on animal identification, behavior, and situational awareness.

day 4: kruger national park & safari sundowners
Our private transfer will take us from Raptor’s Lodge to Kruger; 2.5 hour drive.
Kruger National Park is so vast and so full of wildlife, history and culture that travelers often return again and again, uncovering new discoveries each time. If this is your first or twenty-first time, safari drives and sundowners never get old. Your day begins with a drive to the lodge.
After a morning safari walk, we’ll spend some free time at the Mdluli Safari Lodge, enjoying the amenities on the property. The lodge is designed to make you feel as close and connected to nature as possible, while also retaining a level of comfort uncommon in the bush. View wild animals walking by the lodge or cool down in the infinity pool.
We’ll spend the evening traversing Kruger by 4×4 safari vehicle. While we enjoy sundowners, keep your attention sharp in case any wildlife is nearby!
Dinner will be under the African night sky, featuring a bush braai in the lodge’s boma.

day 5: kruger national park walking safari
Kruger at dawn is unlike anything else on earth. Animals are waking and so must we, if we want to have the best chance to witness their behavior first -hand.
We’ll rise early and set off on a guided bush walk through the wild terrain of Kruger National Park. We’ll enjoy being close to the land and learning from our experienced guides all about the park as well as their own personal stories of past experiences while on safari.
In the afternoon, we’ll once again jump into our safari vehicle for another chance to spot elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, lions, and many other species in one of Africa's greatest wildlife areas. The safari will be within the Mduli private roads and will finish off with sundowners at the watering hole.

day 6: stellenbosch wine & dine
Before we fly to Cape Town, we’ll have breakfast at the top of a unique granite rock formation on the lodge property that offers captivating 360-degree views of Kruger National Park.
Our drive to the airport in Nelspruit is 1.5 hours; flight to Cape Town is approximately 2 hours; our drive from the airport in Cape Town to Stellenbosch is 45 min.
Known for good food and wine, Stellenbosch offers a welcome contrast to the safari adventures thus far.
Set amongst the verdant green vineyards and with the towering Drakenstein mountains in distance, its easy to just "be" in this peaceful place.
And tucked away within the historic Coopmanhuijs Hotel, we’ll sit down for dinner at Helena’s Restaurant — a hidden gem in Stellenbosch that epitomizes old-world fine-dining. It offers heritage cuisine with subtle, spectacular twists. Our plates tonight reflect the bounty of the Cape, emphasizing freshness and food provenance.

day 7: stellenbosch hike or e-bike
Today is “choose your own wine country adventure”, with both options finishing at Boshendal Wine Farm, a renowned estate.
Option 1: A 3.5 hour e-bike ride through the vineyards. Pedal through the breathtaking wine land scenery that this part of South Africa is known for and see the Stellenbosch and Franschoek regions. This is your chance to meet some locals and taste the great cuisine of this region. Travel to two different vineyards and sit down for tastings at each, or choose to sample the gourmet food and other delicacies produced locally.
Option 2: Set off on a vineyard hike with a guide. If you choose this option you will transfer to Zorgvliet and hike to two wine farms before meeting back up for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll have free time to explore the beautiful town of Stellenbosch and choose one of the many restaurants for dinner tonight.

day 9: Cape Town & table mountain
We’ll ride the cable car with our guide and enjoy a scenic ride up to the summit of Table Mountain. Experience a different perspective and marvel at the sweeping views of Cape Town below and the surrounding coastline. At the top we’ll have free time to enjoy the views, explore the walking trails, or simply bask in the mountain's serene ambience before descending via the cableway.
Our afternoon walking tour is a journey of Resistance, Resilience, and Remembering. We’ll visit Bo-Kaap, Grand Parade, Castle of Good Hope, Slave Lodge, Parliament building, St Georges Cathedral, Company Gardens, Apartheid benches, Berlin Wall, Green Market Square and the Old Slave Church.
Then, we’ll participate in a cooking class, learning to make a traditional curry, how to fold samosas, chili bites, and rotis. We’ll sit down together and enjoy the dishes we worked hard to make.
